Vernon Police Seek Public Help in Suspicious Death Case

September 10 2026 VERNON, B.C. - North Okanagan RCMP are asking anyone with information to come forward in a suspicious death investigation.

The Serious Crimes Unit is looking into the death of a 54-year-old woman found deceased in her basement suite on 24th Avenue on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026.

Criminality is suspected.

Police say the woman had recently moved back to Vernon in May and want to speak with anyone who had contact with her in the weeks before her death.
