BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue responded with four pieces of equipment and 18 firefighters.
Initially fire crews were unable to enter the building due to sparking hydro wires attached to the house.
The fire also heavily damaged the rear of the structure and destroyed items in the backyard.
At first the building appeared to be a duplex but was later confirmed to contain four suites.
All residents, believed to be renters, were accounted for with no injuries reported.
No official cause of the fire has been released.
Crews were completing mop-up operations at the scene as of 9 a.m. Thursday.
