Two dead after early-morning crash on George Street in Enderby
September 22, 2026 Enderby B.C. - Two Vernon men were killed and a third occupant was injured after a single-vehicle crash in Enderby early Monday morning, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say.
Police responded around 2:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, to a report of a collision in the 1100 block of George Street.
Investigators determined a blue Volvo travelling northbound left the roadway, struck a hydro pole and hit four parked vehicles at three different addresses.
The 31-year-old male driver and a 20-year-old male passenger, both Vernon residents, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third occupant was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An RCMP Integrated Collision Analyst attended the scene. The roadway was closed for several hours while investigators worked.
Police say they believe speed was a factor and the investigation is continuing. The crash prompted a lengthy closure of Highway 97A through Enderby on Monday morning.
