Structure fire in Enderby sends smoke kilometres into the sky

September 21 2026 ENDERBY, B.C. - A garage fire in Enderby sent a column of smoke hundreds of metres into the air Monday morning, visible for kilometres.

The blaze started around 10 a.m. on Rosoman near Enderby Mabel Lake Road.

Lumby Fire Department crews arrived to find the garage fully involved. Their priority was stopping the flames from spreading to nearby homes.

RCMP also attended. Several fire trucks and firefighters knocked the fire down quickly.

No injuries were reported. The cause has not been determined.
