Coldstream Approves Traffic Calming Measures on Kidston Road

Coldstream, BC - District of Coldstream Council has approved new safety improvements on Kidston Road following concerns raised by residents and parents about speeding near Kidston Elementary.

The project was initiated after a delegation highlighted safety issues on the tricky ‘S’ curve between Coldstream Creek Road and Kinloch Drive.
In response, Council approved the installation of two speed tables (speed bumps) and a flashing pedestrian crosswalk with lights.

he $34,000 initiative, funded through the Canada Community Building Fund, was approved at the April 13, 2026 Regular Council Meeting.
Construction is expected this summer or early fall.
