Vernon Sunshine Festival 2026

June 20 2026 - The 32nd Annual Sunshine Festival is taking place today, Saturday, June 20th, 2026, in Downtown Vernon.
Presented by the Downtown Vernon Association, the event closes six blocks of 30th Avenue to vehicles, turning the street into a pedestrian area from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Parking is free at all downtown meters for the day.
The festival features local businesses and outside vendors along the avenue, with food trucks and eateries, shaded seating, and live music on the main stage in the Food Zone (3400 block).
Bands are scheduled hourly starting at 10 a.m. with The Shades, followed by Ghost Town, Cover2Cover, Carbon Copy, Josh + Bex, Shalisa!, and Echo Watch.
In the Kids Zone on the 2900 block, there will be games, face painting, balloon animals, a reptile show, and other children’s activities.
Additional solo artists and DJs are performing on the 3000, 3100, and 3200 blocks.
The event is free and open to all ages.
It’s aimed at families and anyone wanting to spend time downtown shopping, eating, and listening to music under the Okanagan sky.
At noon, visitors are encouraged to look up, something is planned in the sky above the festival as a special surprise.
Sponsored by Beach FM, this marks the 32nd year of the Sunshine Festival, a longstanding way for the community to welcome summer.
