Vernon BC February 6 2026 - A dash cam video posted online shows a near-miss on Silver Star Road Tuesday about 3 in the afternoon, highlighting just how quickly a routine drive can turn dangerous.

Russ Mills, who shared the footage with the caption “my lucky day,” narrowly avoided a serious collision with a small blue car on a stretch of road that winds through the foothills above Vernon BC, past Silver Star Park and toward Sovereign and SilverStar Resort.

Watching Mills video, its undeniable only seconds separated him from a potentially much worse outcome.

Commenters on Mills’ post noted that this curve has been the location for past accidents, some suggesting that additional signage might help improve safety.

Mills believes the driver of the blue car sustained only minor cuts and bruises.

Authorities have not released any official statement regarding the incident.
