Results for North Okanagan Region Will be the focus of this page
The main provincial ridings (electoral districts) covering the North Okanagan are Vernon-Lumby, Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream, and Salmon Arm-Shuswap.
These align with the Regional District of North Okanagan communities (Vernon, Coldstream, Armstrong, Enderby, Lumby, Spallumcheen, and surrounding areas). Boundaries were set by the 2021 redistribution and first used in 2024 (still in effect for the October 24, 2026 provincial election).
1. Vernon-Lumby
Covers the City of Vernon, Village of Lumby, and nearby areas in the southwestern part of the Regional District of North Okanagan (e.g., Silver Star area, parts of rural North Okanagan).
Incumbent: Harwinder Sandhu (BC NDP), first elected in 2020 (then Vernon-Monashee) and re-elected in 2024. This is the core urban riding for the Vernon area.
2. Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream
Includes the District of Coldstream (a key part of Greater Vernon / North Okanagan), Lake Country, and northern/eastern portions of Kelowna.
Created in the redistribution from parts of the old Kelowna-Lake Country and Vernon-Monashee ridings. Coldstream was moved out of the Vernon-centred riding due to population growth.
Open seat in 2026 (sitting MLA Tara Armstrong, elected in 2024, is not running).
3. Salmon Arm-Shuswap
Covers Armstrong, Enderby, Spallumcheen, and extends north into the Shuswap (Salmon Arm, Sicamous, etc.).
Includes the northwestern portion of the Regional District of North Okanagan.
Incumbent: David L. Williams (Conservative Party), elected in 2024.
Note: Some more remote eastern parts of the North Okanagan (e.g., Cherryville area) may fall into adjacent ridings like Kootenay-Monashee, but the three listed above are the primary ones for the region’s main population centres.
Local sources consistently group these as the North Okanagan ridings for the current election.
