Vernon man, 23, arrested after house fire on Goose Lake Road

September 9 2026 VERNON, B.C. - RCMP say a 23-year-old Vernon man has been arrested in connection with a house fire that caused significant damage to a home on Goose Lake Road.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP said they were notified of the blaze around noon on Monday, Sept. 7. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported. The man was arrested at the scene, appeared in court and was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and released no further details.
