Reports of Smoke at Rear of Tiki Village

September 5, 2026 - Multiple reports of whitish smoke coming from the back of Tiki Village began coming into 911 around 3:34 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Vernon Fire Rescue Service responded.
One witness at the scene said he saw “quite a bit of white smoke” coming from the property before VFRS arrived.
Firefighters could be seen entering a structure at the rear of the property. Outside, some grey smoke was seen coming from a small alcove.
RCMP also attended.
No word yet on what caused the smoke. No confirmed reports of injuries.
