Firefighting Chinook at Vernon Regional Airport, Owned by "Martin Mars" Coulson

A "Martin Mars" Coulson Chinook helicopter was seen parked at the Vernon BC Airport on Thursday, August 31.



It was in the region helping fight BC's wildfires.

The life of a firefighting aircraft is a busy one.


According to helis.com the Boeing CH-47D Chinook has recently traveled from fighting wildfires in Argentina to Quebec and finally British Columbia.


The next stop for the 1970s-era flying machine is a scheduled major mechanical overhaul
