Coldstream Firefighters Bring Halloween Fun to the Community
September 30 2025 - Maybe you noticed firefighters out in Coldstream last weekend with their boots at local intersections.
The reason? They were out raising funds to support the Coldstream Fire Department’s Halloween fireworks show at Kalamalka Lake.
If you missed the drive, donations can still be made—details are available on the Coldstream Fire Hall Facebook page.
Almost every year, the fire hall puts on a spectacular fireworks display, drawing families from across the community. The event is free to the public, including hot chocolate for spectators to warm chilly bones.
For those who need a little extra heat, the firefighters also light a large bonfire to keep everyone cozy.
The fireworks and hot chocolate may be free for attendees, but they aren’t free to supply.
That’s why local firefighters take to the streets each fall, boots in hand, to remind the community and request donations that make this annual tradition possible.
