Original Story:

VERNON, B.C. – August 5 2025, A Water Quality Advisory is in place for several streets in Vernon following a water main break along Highway 6.

The advisory, issued by Greater Vernon Water in coordination with Interior Health, affects customers on the following streets:Selkirk Dr, Montrose Pl, Elgin Dr, Kinrose Pl, Inverness Dr, 209–248 Sarsons Dr, Sarsons Pl, and 240–380 Sarsons Rd.

Residents in the affected area are advised that water has been redirected due to the break, leading to higher water flow and the potential for increased turbidity (cloudiness). This has prompted the precautionary advisory to ensure water safety.
