BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue, Silver Star Fire, and Vernon Search and Rescue attended to a single vehicle that had plunged 30 metres down a bank.
High Angle Rescue, or Rope Rescue team members, stretchered one of the vehicle's occupants to a waiting BC Ambulance. RCMP were also on the scene.
At approximately 3:30 PM on Saturday, June 29th, an SUV left Silver Star Road and plunged down a 90-foot bank, coming to rest upright in a grove of trees. The incident occurred in the 9500 block of Silver Star Road.
Two people are believed to have been in the SUV. Neither is believed to have sustained serious injuries. However, one of the SUV's occupants needed assistance climbing the steep slope. No official word on injuries or what led to the accident
