Vernon Fire Re Ignites In Burned Out Auto Body Wrap Business

Crews returned just after noon Wednesday to extinguish a spot fire in what remains of the building eaves.


September 4, 2024: Vernon Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) responded to a significant structure fire at a commercial building in the 4500 Block of 31st Street around 5 AM this morning.


Crews returned just after noon Wednesday to extinguish a spot fire in the remains of the building eaves.


The building was home to an autobody shop that specializes in automobile wraps and graphics. When crews arrived they found the business fully engulfed in flames.





The fire was quickly extinguished, but the building sustained extensive damage.


No injuries have been reported. An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.


Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, BC Hydro, and Fortis BC also attended the scene.
