UPDATE May 6 2024:
London Drugs is gradually reopening core services in stores across Western Canada. They're ensuring systems are ready for customer service, but won't disclose specific store openings until each one is fully operational. Some stores have core services open to meet immediate needs while others are being brought online. All systems are tested for safety.
There's currently no evidence of customer database compromise, but they'll notify affected individuals if needed. In all stores, pharmacists are available for emergency prescriptions,
Canada Post locations are open, and the Insurance Services Call Centre is operating. Customers can reach Customer Care at 1-888-991-2299 or visit their local store during regular hours.
Check London Drugs website for individual stores reopening schedule.
UPDATE May 4, 2024:
According to information posted on Facebook, London Drugs continues to work diligently with cybersecurity experts to restore operations following the recent security incident that significantly impacted its services.
London Drugs reports that teams are reviewing billions of lines of data and code, with their top priority being a secure and systematic restoration process.
Up to this point, investigations have revealed no evidence of compromise in customer databases, including pharmacy patients and LDExtras members.
If personal information was compromised, London Drugs assures individuals they will be promptly notified according to privacy laws.
Despite the challenges, certain services remain available to customers. Pharmacists are accessible at store locations for emergency prescriptions and urgent care needs, while Canada Post facilities within stores are operational. Additionally, the Insurance Services Call Centre is assisting customers with their needs.
London Drugs states they are collaborating with third-party information providers, such as provincial health systems, to reconnect with their systems following established protocols.
Customers can reach out for assistance through operational phone lines, with the advice to contact their local store or Pharmacy for inquiries. For urgent matters, visiting a local store during regular business hours is recommended.
Operational updates will be provided on the London Drugs website and social media platforms to keep customers informed of progress.
