Vernon Had Snow Last November 16th

As of late Saturday night, Vernon sits at about 6 degrees under mainly cloudy skies, with no sign of snow in the immediate forecast. Temperatures are holding well above freezing, so anything that does fall over the next couple of days is expected to be rain, not snow.
That’s a sharp contrast to the scenes captured in last year’s video of snow-covered roads, weather-related crashes, and Fire Crews responding Code 3 to a winter incident.
Environment Canada calls for mainly cloudy conditions overnight with a low near 5 degrees.
On Sunday, cloud continues with a 60% chance of showers developing in the afternoon and a high of 9 degrees.
Showers may linger into Sunday evening with temperatures steady near 8 degrees.
The rest of the workweek stays mild and cloudy, with highs between 8 and 10 degrees and overnight lows from 2 to 5 degrees, still well above normal and nowhere near snow-making temperatures. The next chance of showers comes on Friday, with a high of 6 degrees.
Overall, the week ahead looks grey, damp, and unseasonably warm, with no snow expected.
However, it’s a different story up at SilverStar Mountain Resort:
Saturday: –3° / 0°, snow
Sunday: –3° / 2°, light rain
Monday: 0° / 3°, overcast
Tuesday: –3° / 1°, mixed rain and snow
Wednesday: –5° / –1°, light snow
The mountain continues to see more winter-like conditions, even as the valley remains mild.
