VERNON — Emergency crews responded Tuesday night after a vehicle plunged roughly 20 metres down a steep embankment off Bench Road.
The crash occurred just before 9 p.m. and involved a single vehicle, a Vernon Fire Rescue Service SUV.
Two VFRS trucks, two BC Ambulance units, and RCMP attended the scene.
Firefighters used an all-terrain stretcher attachment, often called a “mule wheel,” to transport at least one person across a rough field while lighting the way with flashlights.
There is no word yet on how many people were in the vehicle or the extent of their injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
