Updated: Oct 23

If you live in the Okanagan Valley you might be asking yourself is that smoke in the air? If so where is it coming from?

Much of the smoke is coming from South of the border. There are currently about 50 wildfires burning in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. The smoke from those wildfires is making is way deep into British Columbia.

There ae also fires burning South of Revelstoke and East of Kootenay lake.

Check the live smoke map QUICK LINK at https://www.exnews.net/ for the latest.

The air quality is also bad. PM2.5 concentration (atmospheric particulate matter ) in Vernon is currently 6.7 times the WHO air quality guideline.
