February 20th 2023:
Trans Canada Highway 1 closed to traffic between Revelstoke and Golden
Drive BC advises that Highway 1, in both directions will be closed for avalanche control work on February 21st, 2023 for 2 hours.
This essentially closes Highway 1 to traffic traveling between Revelstoke and Golden BC.
Avalanche control is planned between Woolsey Creek Bridge and Glacier National Park West Boundary for 17.8 km (1 km west of East Boundary of Mount Revelstoke National Park to 1 km east of West Boundary of Glacier National Park).
The Highway 1 closure is from Tue Feb 21 at 12:00 PM PST until Tue Feb 21 at 2:00 PM PST.
There are no detours available.
