Spiked in Spallumcheen

January 13 2026 - Vernon RCMP arrested three people and recovered two stolen vehicles following a chase on Highway 97A Monday night.

Police say a pickup truck was reported stolen in Grindrod around 9:45 p.m., with the owner following the vehicle south and providing updates.

Officers intercepted the truck and used a spike belt to stop it near Lansdowne Road. The driver was arrested on the scene.

Nearby, a stolen SUV linked to the incident was located on Powerhouse Road, and its two occupants were also taken into custody.

All three were held in custody pending a court appearance
