Snowfall Advisory for Trans-Canada Travellers: Up to 20 cm Expected Near Sicamous–Revelstoke
December 5 2025 - Drivers heading east on the Trans-Canada Highway today, especially through Sicamous, Malakwa, and into Revelstoke, should be prepared for rapidly worsening conditions. Environment Canada has issued a Yellow Snowfall Warning.
A Yellow Snowfall Warning signals a moderate-impact weather event with high confidence in the forecast.
15–20 cm of snow is expected from midday today through Saturday morning, with the heaviest amounts around Malakwa and Sicamous. Revelstoke is forecast to receive 10–15 cm. Snow may mix with rain by Saturday afternoon.

Coquihalla – Hope to Merritt
Snow will continue this morning before shifting to rain later today. Expect 5–10 cm and areas of wet snow at the summit. Fog is lifting but still patchy. Winds increase this afternoon. Tonight: another 10 cm of snow and gusty conditions.
Coquihalla – Merritt to Kamloops
Light snow early today tapers off by afternoon. Only about 2 cm expected, but gusty winds remain a factor. Saturday brings a few flurries before clearing.
Okanagan Connector – Merritt to Kelowna
Snow started early this morning with 5–10 cm possible today. Blowing snow may reduce visibility late this afternoon and evening. Tonight: occasional flurries and 2 cm more. Saturday: flurries end by afternoon as skies begin to clear, though blowing snow may persist through midday.
