Serious Crash Closes Highway 1 East of Salmon Arm

May 22 2026 - A serious collision involving a semi-truck and at least one other vehicle has shut down Highway 1 in both directions east of Salmon Arm between Canoe and Annis Bay.
The crash occurred Friday evening shortly after 7pm.
Multiple emergency responders were on scene, including BC Ambulance, Eagle Valley Rescue, and RCMP officers.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes as crews work to clear the roadway and investigate the incident.
