Overnight Fire Destroys Home on Bella Vista

VERNON, B.C. June 28, 2025:

A large house fire in the early hours of Saturday morning prompted a major emergency response in Vernon’s Bella Vista neighbourhood.

Multiple 911 calls came in around 2:30 a.m. reporting a fully involved structure fire

Multiple 911 calls came in around 2:30 a.m. reporting a fully involved structure fire in the 6700 block of Bella Vista Road. Upon arrival, Vernon Fire Rescue crews found a two-storey home engulfed in flames and immediately called for a third alarm.

Water tenders were brought in to shuttle water to the scene, with mutual aid from BX-Swan Lake Fire Department assisting. Firefighters from all three Vernon fire halls battled the blaze for hours, spending much of the morning extinguishing hot spots.

There is no word yet on injuries or the cause

 of the fire.

BC Hydro, FortisBC, BC Ambulance Service, and the RCMP were also on scene.
