New Shopping Plaza on Highway 6 Opening Soon

October 1 2026 - Stores at the new Hillview Village plaza on Highway 6 at 15th Street are set to start opening soon.
The lot is paved, stall lines are drawn, buildings are in the final stages of completion, and business names are beginning to appear.
No Frills already has a sign up that says “Opening Soon.”

Not every store is expected to open on the same day. With several buildings at different stages of completion, a staggered opening is the likely pattern.
What is visible on site is clear. No Frills is the anchor grocery, facing Highway 6.
IDA Pharmacy is signed on the unit attached to that building.
Kal Tire occupies a multi-bay service shop, with its name and orange stripe already up.

McDonald’s, including McCafé, is signed on both its building and the plaza pylon, though the roof is still covered in construction material.
A gas bar canopy is in place beside a convenience-store building and an attached car-wash bay.
A smaller multi-tenant strip with awnings is framed but not yet branded.
The main pylon at the signalized 15th Street entrance reads Hillview Village.
What is not confirmed from the site itself is the gas-bar operator, previously reported as Canco; the brand of a second, coffee drive-thru that was part of the original plans; whether a daycare is still included; and the exact opening dates.
The developer’s last public target was fall 2026.

Vernon council approved the project for Armstrong Land on about 3.42 hectares at 1501 Highway 6, with roughly 67,500 square feet of retail. A variance raised parking to 338 regular stalls, 20 EV-ready stalls and 13 accessible stalls, about 371 in total.
Access is through the new signalized intersection at 15th Street, not a direct exit onto Highway 6.
