UPDATE 15:30 July 22 2026 Anderson Creek Wildfire (V11090) - Premier Dave Eby took to X earlier today urging people in the Boston Bar area, where the Anderson Creek fire has grown rapidly, to leave now.
“Rapidly changing conditions near Boston Bar tonight with a new fire south of town. Urge anyone who remains behind to evacuate now” Premiere Eby

Evacuation orders were already in place by the Boston Bar First Nation (July 16 2026) and Fraser Valley Regional District for Boston Bar, North Bend, Canyon Alpine, and surrounding areas.
The fire remains out of control with aggressive behaviour. Highway 1 is closed south of Boston Bar. BC Wildfire Service crews are on scene.

July 22, 2026 - A new wildfire burning south of Boston Bar has prompted evacuation orders and closed additional sections of Highway 1.

The Anderson Creek fire (V11090) was discovered Tuesday beside the Trans-Canada Highway. It is currently out of control and exhibiting aggressive fire behaviour with rapid upslope spread.
The blaze has led to the closure of Highway 1 south of Boston Bar. Evacuation orders have been issued for the immediate area.
BC Wildfire Service crews are responding to the fast-moving fire.
