Lavington wildfire: Evacuation Order downgraded, Alert remains in place
September 8 2025 - The District of Coldstream has downgraded an Evacuation Order to an Evacuation Alert for the Lavington area impacted by the Noble Canyon wildfire.

The fire, first discovered on September 5, is now listed as “Being Held” by the BC Wildfire Service.
That means crews expect it to remain within its current 67-hectare perimeter under existing weather and fuel conditions.
While residents under the Order can now return home, the Evacuation Alert means the area is still at risk. People are advised to remain prepared to leave with little notice if conditions change.
The wildfire, believed to be human-caused, remains under the jurisdiction of the Kamloops Fire Centre.
