BC Highway 3 Reopens East of Hope with Restrictions Amid Wildfire

July 24 2024 - British Columbia’s Highway 3 has reopened to traffic east of Hope, but motorists face ongoing limitations due to a nearby wildfire, according to DriveBC.

The Highway is open with single-lane alternating traffic and active traffic control between Sunshine Valley and approximately 8 kilometres west of Manning Park Lodge.

Drivers are advised not to stop in the wildfire zone.

Separately, a 30 km/h speed limit and one-lane restrictions remain in effect at kilometre 42 (near the Second Avalanche Gate) between Hope and Manning Park due to road maintenance.
