Fatal motorcycle crash claims life of 50-year-old man near Enderby

August 7 2026 - A 50-year-old man from Mara was killed Monday morning after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on Springbend Road near Highway 97B.

The crash occurred around 10:10 a.m. on Aug. 3. Vernon North Okanagan RCMP and B.C. Ambulance Service responded to the scene.

Police report witnesses allege the motorcycle crossed the centre line and drifted into the path of the oncoming pickup truck.

The lone rider was thrown from his bike and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

“A 50-year-old man from Mara died at the scene,” said Cpl. Tania Finn of the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP. “Police have attended to his next-of-kin to advise of his death and our condolences go out to his family and friends.”

Police continue to investigate the collision. The B.C. Coroners Service is conducting a concurrent investigation.
