August 24 2026 - Central Okanagan Emergency Management has fully lifted the remaining evacuation alerts for the Quilpituk Creek and Bald Range wildfires.

The Quilpituk Creek alert (Cinnabar Creek to Westshore Estates) was rescinded Monday after the fire was classified Under Control.


Westside Road is open to local traffic only.


The last Bald Range alerts in Peachland and Electoral Area West were also lifted the same day.


Although the fire remains Out of Control, the threat to those communities has passed.Further south and west, restrictions remain.


Some properties in Summerland (mainly Garnet Valley Road and nearby streets) and Faulder are still under evacuation order due to the Bald Range fire’s ongoing activity and westward movement along the Princeton-Summerland Road corridor.
