RCMP Investigating Vehicle Fire and Break-In in Vernon


Vernon, B.C. – Police are investigating a vehicle fire and break-and-enter that occurred early Tuesday morning in Vernon.

On March 4, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in a parking lot in the 1900-block of 33rd Street.


According to Cst. Chris Terleski Media Relations Officer Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, investigators suspect the vehicle had been used in a break-in earlier that morning at a business in the 3400-block of 32nd Avenue, Vernon.


Authorities are now reviewing surveillance footage and working to piece together the circumstances surrounding both incidents. Police are also asking businesses and residents in the area to check their security cameras for any relevant footage.
