August 24, 2026 - A collision involving a dump truck and a car blocked traffic at the intersection of 32nd Street and 25th Avenue in Vernon just before 4 p.m. today, one of the busiest times of day for traffic in the city.

Several RCMP cruisers, two Vernon Fire Rescue vehicles, one BC Ambulance, and the Department of Highways responded to the scene.

Details of what led up to the crash remain under investigation at this time.

The driver of the car told ExNews.net that he feels he was very lucky.

No injuries were reported.

The damaged car was moved off busy 32nd Street to the parking lot of Fruit Union Plaza, where the image was recorded.
