March 25 2026 10:30 PM - The Coquihalla Highway is closed in both directions between Hope and Merritt.
DriveBC reports a vehicle incident has shut down the route, with additional issues caused by non-compliant commercial vehicles at a mandatory chain-up location near the Zopkios brake check.
Northbound traffic is stopped between Portia and Zopkios, while southbound lanes are closed from the summit area to Mine Creek.
A snowfall warning from Environment Canada is also in effect, with up to 15 centimetres expected overnight and gusty winds contributing to difficult driving conditions.
Detours are available via Highway 1, Highway 5A and Highway 3.
