Flames could be seen from many areas of Coldstream

October 24 2025 - A Coldstream home on Upper Summit Drive was the scene of a serious fire late Friday night.

Multiple reports of visible flames came into 911 dispatchers shortly after 11 p.m. Witnesses said the blaze could be seen from as far away as Kal Beach and the south slope of Middleton Mountain.

Crews from the Coldstream and Lavington fire halls responded and were able to knock down the flames before they spread to the second floor.

There’s no word yet on any injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
