Arson Investigation Underway

Silverstar Brewing in Vernon will be closed until further notice

February 25 2026 - An arson investigation is underway following an early morning fire at the Silverstar Brew Pub located in downtown Vernon at 30th Avenue and 30th Street.

The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say they were called shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, after Vernon Fire Rescue Services requested assistance at a structure fire in the 2900-block of 30th Avenue.

Fire crews were able to confine and extinguish the blaze, which caused damage inside the commercial building.

“An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway,” said Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP. “We are in the process of collecting physical evidence from the scene, as well as video surveillance from other businesses in the area.”
