Another Vehicle Fire Reported in Vernon

For the second time in just over twenty-four hours, BX/Swan Lake Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire in the Vernon area
December 25, 2025 Vernon - BX/Swan Lake Fire Rescue responded to another vehicle fire early Christmas morning, the second such incident in the Vernon area within just over a day.
The latest fire was reported just before 4 a.m. on December 25, with crews called to a remote parking lot along East Vernon Hill near a popular hiking trail. Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle fully involved.
The incident follows an earlier vehicle fire reported just after 2 a.m. on December 24th at a Vernon Kia dealership, where multiple vehicles were destroyed in the dealership’s back lot.
BX/Swan Lake Fire Rescue was assisted at the East Vernon Hill scene by Vernon RCMP. No details have been released regarding the cause of the fire or the whereabouts and condition of the vehicle’s driver.
No injuries were reported.
