RCMP Investigating Suspicious Death in Polson Park


July 30 2024: A deceased woman was found in Polson Park on Monday, July 29th, 2024 at approximately 10:30 a.m.


Officers responded to a report of a body in a large grey plastic cart with wheels near the tennis courts in Polson Park.

The deceased has been identified by RCMP as 40-year-old Christina (Tina) Louise MacKenzie of Vernon. Police consider the circumstances of her death suspicious.


Vernon North Okanagan RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit is investigating

Investigators are seeking public assistance and have released a stock photo of the cart.


RCMP are looking for information about Christina's activities from July 27-29 and any sightings of the cart in the surrounding areas of Polson Park (25 Ave / 32 Street / 34 Street) before 10:30 a.m. on July 29.


Residents, businesses, and motorists are asked to review security or dash cam footage for any relevant activity.
