Vernon House Fire Damages Home

January 5 2026 - Vernon Fire Rescue crews were called to a residential fire in the 1100 block of 14th Avenue on Monday afternoon.

The call came in shortly before noon, with firefighters responding to reports of a blaze at the home.

All occupants are believed to have been accounted for and there were no immediate reports of injuries.

Fire crews remained on scene until approximately 3 p.m. to fully extinguish the fire and ensure the area was safe.

The cause of the fire has not been released, and it’s unclear how much damage the home sustained.
