Two Dead, Three Injured in Head-On Crash on Coquihalla Highway

Kamloops, B.C. – Two people have died and three others were seriously injured following a head-on collision on the Coquihalla Highway south of Kamloops on Friday night.

The crash occurred around 9 p.m. near Inks Lake when a grey Dodge Ram pickup and a white Hyundai Kona hatchback collided. One of the vehicles was reportedly traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes.

The collision forced the highway to close for several hours.

BC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, including the possibility that criminal behaviour may have been involved.
