December 26, 2025 – 4:00 p.m. - The Trans-Canada Highway is closed between Revelstoke and Golden following two separate crashes near Rogers Pass amid difficult winter driving conditions.

DriveBC reports the closure affects Highway 1 through Glacier National Park, from the park’s west boundary to the summit, a stretch of about 57 kilometres. Road conditions in the area include compact snow, slush, and slippery sections.
The incidents are located roughly between 14 kilometres east of the park’s east boundary and about one kilometre east of the west boundary, near the Quartz Creek Bridge area.
