Three of Five North Okanagan Mayors Defeated
October 18 2026 - Voters across the North Okanagan delivered a clear message of change at the top, defeating three of five sitting mayors in the October 17 civic election.
The three defeated mayors are:
Victor Cumming (Vernon)
Joe Cramer (Armstrong)
Huck Galbraith (Enderby)

In Vernon, Armstrong, and Enderby, incumbents finished behind challengers.
Coldstream and Lumby kept their sitting mayors.
The results show stronger anti-incumbent sentiment toward mayors than toward councillors.
Councillor outcomes were more mixed. Most incumbents who ran held their seats, but five sitting councillors were defeated, one each in Vernon and Coldstream, and three in Armstrong.
Enderby and Lumby retained all their incumbent councillors.
Several communities will see substantial turnover, particularly on the mayoral side.
Full unofficial results for Vernon, Coldstream, Armstrong, Enderby, and Lumby are available here: North Okanagan Election Results
The results remain unofficial and preliminary, drawn from official municipal sources and localelections.ca. Final results will be declared by 4 p.m. on October 21.
