Teen stabbed at Coldstream party; suspect arrested

Mounties are investigating after a 15-year-old was seriously injured in a stabbing at a party in Coldstream early Sunday morning.

Police say they were called to a large gathering on Mackie Drive around 1 a.m. on June 22, where the victim had already been taken to hospital. An 18-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after fleeing the scene.

RCMP believe the stabbing followed an argument that escalated into a physical fight. The suspect has been released on conditions, with a court date pending.
