Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for mountain passes in southern B.C., including the Okanagan Connector and Coquihalla.
Heavy snow, high winds, and poor visibility are expected to impact travel starting late tonight and continuing through Monday night. Motorists should prepare for rapidly changing conditions.
Today: A mix of sun and cloud with fog clearing this morning. Light winds up to 15 km/h.
Tonight: Snow begins after midnight, with winds increasing as the system moves in.
Monday: Heavy snow and gusty winds will create blowing snow, reducing visibility. Snow levels will rise to 1100 meters by afternoon, with an expected accumulation of 2-4 cm.
Strong winds will persist into Tuesday.
