Single-Vehicle Crash North of Vernon Lands SUV in Ditch

April 21 2026 - BX Fire, RCMP, and BC EHS responded to a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon just north of Vernon.

What caused the vehicle to leave the road is not known

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. in a northbound lane, just north of the scales.

An SUV left the roadway and came to rest on its left side in the ditch beside what appeared to be a highway sign.

This Sign was face down in the ditch next to the crashed SUV

No information has been released on the cause of the crash. It remains unknown whether another vehicle was involved or if the SUV experienced mechanical issues.
