RCMP on Roof of Vernon Mall

Vernon RCMP members were observed on the roof of the Village Green Mall shortly after midnight.

January 28 2026 - At approximately 12 a.m., at least two RCMP officers were seen on the Village Green mall roof near the eastern main entrance on 32nd Street, using flashlights as they moved across the area.

Officers were seen focusing on the roof area above the Royal Bank location within the mall.

On the opposite side of the mall, a Vernon Fire Rescue Services truck was also on scene.

The incident concluded shortly after 12:45 a.m. No further information has been released.
