Quilpituk Creek wildfire Evacuation Expands

As expected, Central Okanagan Emergency Management has issued an Evacuation Order for Shelter Cove, Secret Point and Cinnabar Creek due to the Quilpituk Creek wildfire.

August 6 2026 - The area was previously under Evacuation Alert, with advance notice given Wednesday night. Residents must leave immediately via south on Westside Road.

In addition, an Evacuation Alert has been expanded for properties south of Cinnabar Creek, including the Wilson’s Landing area and west rural areas.

Residents there should prepare to leave on short notice but not self-evacuate yet.
