Power Outage Affects Over 1400 Customers East of Highway 97A Near Enderby

Enderby, B.C. May 6 2026 - More than 1460 BC Hydro customers remain without power in the area east of Highway 97A, including communities around Enderby and Kingfisher, after an outage began Tuesday evening.

The outage started at 6:47 p.m. on May 6 and was still ongoing as of 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time. BC Hydro has assigned crews to the scene, but the cause remains under investigation.
A map of the affected region shows a large shaded triangular zone centered roughly on Enderby, stretching toward Kingfisher and surrounding rural areas in the North Okanagan/Shuswap region.
Power disruptions are also affecting customer in the Salmon Arm, Pritchard, and other nearby areas.
Wind and lightning rolled though the region early evening.
Further updates will be provided as crews investigate the cause.
