Big Changes in 2023 for the 62nd annual Vernon Winter Carnival Parade Route
The Winter Carnival Parade will not travel past the business area of 30th avenue this year. The route change is to reduce disruptions to public transit.
Motorists are advised road closures will be in place on Saturday, February 4 starting at 8 am.
As in previous years, road closures begin at 8 am on parade day (February 4th, 2023) and remain in place until 2 PM.
"Drivers are encouraged to use Highway 97 (32nd Street) for north-south travel or use alternate routes if traveling downtown"
The parade starts 12 Noon at 43rd avenue and 27th street:
- Travels southbound on 27th Street
- Westbound on 30th Avenue
- Northbound on 29th Street
- Westbound on 32nd Avenue
- Northbound on 31st Street ending at 39th Avenue.
Temporary changes for Vernon Regional Transit
Vernon Regional Transit Routes 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 60 will be temporarily affected.
