Multiple Vehicle Crash on Highway 97 near Kal View Drive

Traffic Stopped in Both Directions For a Short Time

January 10 2026 - A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 97 in Vernon near Kal View Drive resulted in a number of people being taken to hospital. The crash occurred shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday (January 10) in the northbound lanes of what is known by some as “Dump Hill.”

Anywhere from three to five vehicles may have been involved, but no official number has been released. Two vehicles appeared to have sustained the most damage, with one possibly colliding with the concrete highway divider, while another remained in a northbound lane with significant front-end damage.

Three BC Ambulance units, along with Vernon RCMP and Vernon Fire Rescue Service, attended the scene.

No cause for the crash, or the number of people transported to hospital, has been released.
