Monday Morning Vehicle Fire BX/Swan Lake

January 5 2026 - BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue responded to another vehicle fire early Monday morning, marking the third such call we know about for the department since late December.

The first incident occurred on December 24, when a suspicious fire damaged approximately half a dozen vehicles in the back lot of a Vernon car dealership. A second vehicle fire, involving a pickup truck on Boss Creek Road, was reported soon after and was quickly extinguished.

The latest fire was reported around 7 a.m. Monday on Greenhow Road, where crews found what appeared to be a late-model Jeep burning.

RCMP also attended the scene.

No cause for the vehicle fire has been released.
